'I Am In You And You In Me, Mutual In Divine Love.' William Blake

William Blake

On Love

'Love seeks not itself to please nor for itself hath any care, but for another gives its ease, and builds a Heaven in Hell's despair.'

On Perception

'To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour.'

On Imagination

'The tree which move some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.'

On Relationships

'I must create a system or be enslaved by another mans;  I will not reason and compare: My business is to create.'

The Doors and William Blake.

History has it that Jim Morrison enjoyed William Blake through Aldous Huxley's book titled The Doors of Perception.  It impacted him to a degree where the inspiration carried over into the name of the group and a big music hit which was called 'Break On Through To The Other Side.'

'If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern.' William Blake.
