Are your weekends your weak-ends?
While not all of us get time off on the weekends, I am referring to the free time we do have and what are we doing with it. I regretfully keep learning that time is to be used wisely, not wasted poorly.
Are your weekends, your weak-ends? Maybe it's peace you really want and not rest. Some people experience great peace while accomplishing their goals, be it their daily ones, like fitness and eating healthy, and or progressing on long term ones, like learning a new skill or career. When you get those amazing experiences accomplished that's one kind of peace that allows for true resting, a time to recharge for more!
I have often rested more than I should have or drifted off playing great video games, re-watching movies, or delighting in fantastic conspiracy theories and videos for hours. Sadly those huge hours lost in non-productive stimulation is time I or we will never get back. Therefore we may not be receiving anything useful, in return we may even succumb to being great time wasters both personally and professionally. I'd like to post my blog more often because I love writing and sharing. That requires action, the strength to keep at it regularly! My weak-end has often been the weekend. I know that unfulfilling feeling and that can come regretfully Monday mornings and sometimes carries into the week. Lost time is permanent, it stings and pinches you to know this key to living wisely, we can't afford to waste time!
How do you spend your free time?
While some of us work and or look after others, like children and older adults, some of us don't. For those of us who are not doing something useful what are we doing? Time is simple and straightforward in nature and it has no quantum care about our logical opinions and persuasiveness. You can't make or tell time to come back and so we can't redo the time we lost. The simple aspect of truth here is that time is something of value, so let's consider often to make the most of the time we do have to use. Our time here in these bodies is not a forever thing. We are born, we grow and then we must leave. We can always use this time right now because that's all that we have.
Can you really love Mondays?
Don't let your time off drift away. If your weekends are your weak-ends as often as I've let mine be, then welcome to an unawesome Monday. Strong End your weekends! Let's say you get the weekends off then you have opportunity for taking care of responsibilities, skill building and developing your talents. That action will leave you feeling hopefully fulfilled by Sunday night so you have a stronger certainty of loving your Mondays instead of dreading the Mon-daze feeling we might know to well. When I have looked back at my weekends, regretfully a lot were truly my weak-ends where there was no excuse or someone or something to blame for not doing some meaningful things to grow and improve myself and conditions in my life for better outcomes. If you do nothing, nothing happens, no surprise there.
Strong end the weak-ends!
Know right this moment that you are worth making those areas where you are weak stronger and you can! Take one step first and do it repeatedly until the process of doing becomes effortless then grow and challenge yourself from that new place of experience. You will see the results for yourself! Remember if you can manage taking the first steps towards improving or doing something productive for yourself and or others then you can be assured that it will begin to produce the results that you were hoping to experience.
